Skunk Hollow Community Garden*

Calling all gardeners!

At the January 12 meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Radnor Township, they voted to allow for a new project developing the garden site located in Skunk Hollow Park, thus re-purposing the infrastructure installed for the now-completed Skunk Hollow Community Sustainable Agriculture [CSA] project. The Skunk Hollow Community Garden is to be a garden where citizens interested in growing organic fruits and vegetables can learn and work together to cultivate their own local produce. Come join this exciting project! Register for a garden plot and create your own garden for produce and/or flowers. Heres our vision The site within the existing deer-resistant fence will be divided into 32 plots, each measuring 19x19-feet, with walkways between each garden plot. Common areas will be set aside for brambles [raspberries, blackberries], strawberries, grapes, asparagus and dwarf fruit trees, as well as areas for composting, storing garden equipment and gathering. A water source and connection for electricity are already on-site. We invite you to step forward and help us build this community, share your interest and expertise, and to create a garden of your own.
Come hear more and see the plan for our new Skunk Hollow Community Garden!
