VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display)

VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) is display representing data based on the following routes; thermal electrons are created through the voltage supplied in the filaments and excellerated electrons from grids could reach anodes to collide with phosphors already patterned to illuminate for displayiing. Illuminates when (+)voltage is supplied to the Anode (+), does not illum ninate when (-) voltage is supplied VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) was first developed in 1967 and began to be applied to electronic calculators, and became colorized by the help of the co-development of a Phosphor maker in 1980s. VFD is an element which emits light by itself; through electrons constantly released from the Filament -functioning as an electron gun of CRT- controlled by the Grids and Anodes to collide onto the phosphors of Anodes to illuminate. VFD surely represents Multi-color, excellent visual recognition by means of a clear display with high brightness (self-luminous device), less eye fatigue compared to LED (soft light), wide viewing angle, operating at low voltage with low power consumption, easy application of parts, and it has such a high reliability that VFDs apply to various areas
