100 Candidate Soldiers took oath to serve the country


Camp Panacan, Davao City A total of 100 new Candidate Soldiers of the Philippine Army took their oath of duty and service to the country in an opening ceremony held at the parade ground of the 10th Division Training Unit of 10th Infantry Division in Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, Compostela Valley Province on January 6, 2012. The oath taking of the Candidate Soldier Course Class 283-2011 was attended by Col Ricardo A Nepomuceno, Chief of Staff of 10ID, in the presence of the Officers, enlisted personnel and training committee of 10th Division Training Unit of 10ID. The 6-month duration course is expected to change and mold the new recruits from civilian antiques into a well and disciplined soldiers. After completing and passing the rigid training, they will be then enlisted into the Philippine Army with the rank of Private. Col Nepomuceno in his remarks assured the candidate soldiers that the training prepared for them will help them in their future career in the Philippine Army. I urge all of you, kung maisipan niyong mag resign, isipin nyo lang na isa kayo sa pinaka magaling na nag exam, Nepomuceno says. The 100 candidate soldiers, coming from different provinces of Region X, XI, XII and XIII, majority came from Region XI and have the following education profile; 12 College Graduate, 36 college level, and 52 with Vocational course. -30-
