Theories of syllabus The syllabus is based on many children and adult teaching and learning process theories as second

or foreign language, so it is an useful tool for contributing to the development of the teaching process at the institutions; it gives to the teacher s precise direction for achieving goals into the development of an English course, providing a set of criteria for topics selection, teaching methodology, an use of appropriates materials, and evaluation system. Also, it is necessary the design and application of a need analysis with the purpose to establish the learners age, level of knowledge, as well as the learners interests and expectations.
