PROFILE An engineering undergraduate is seeking an internship or training in astrophysics, physics, applied mathematics, electronics engineering or related subjects. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE HIGH ENERGY ASTROPHYSICS - NASA FERMI GAMMA RAY TELESCOPE WORKSHOP JUNE 2010 The workshop covered a lot of areas in high-energy astrophysics as neutron stars, pulsars, black holes and magnetars, it also coved analytical techniques for data analysis using the NASA Fermi Gamma-ray telescope. HIGH ENERGY ASTROPHYSICS - NASA SWIFT GAMMA-RAY BURST MISSION JULY 2010 I have been working as a research assistant with Prof.Alaa Ibrahim (MIT), on data analysis on Magnetars using the Swift Gamma-ray burst mission. ICTP WINTER COLLEGE IN OPTICS IN IMAGING SCIENCE 31 JANUARY TO 12 FEBRUARY 2011 The winter college discussed computational imaging, winger optics, 3D sensing, imaging through turbulence and Fourier optics. EDUCATION Egyptian GCSE (mathematics and science section), final grade 100.2 %, ranked the 7th over all of test takers (400000 + ) , receiving honorary awards from the minister of education and the Egyptian first lady in addition to excellence scholarship from M.Farid Khamees foundation for gifted students . Assiut University Bachelor of Science in electronics engineering (expected year of graduation 2014) - GPA: 83.6/100 Rank: top 3% (350) SKILLS Computer skills: - software: Ability to work with total efficiency in Windows and Mac OS with some experience in Linux, Microsoft office package and Mac iWork , Adobe Photoshop and Flash , data analysis software Heasoft ( ftools , fv , ds9 ) and IDL , programming languages C++ , C# , java script ,QBASIC , python , I was also selected for the Microsoft JDP for two years respectively and won the Egyptian first lady prize for excellence in CS . In addition, excellent mathematical and physical background, ranked the 7th in the Egyptian GCSE (mathematics section) out of 100000+ , ranked the 12 in the 2009 AUC Mathematics competition out of 70.
