Law of conservation of momentum
When two or more bodies act on each other, the total
momentum before collision is equal to the total
momentum after collision provided no external forces
are acting.
Impulse

Unit or

Elastic Collisions
- A collision in which Kinetic Energy is conserved.
Inelastic Collisions
- A collision in which Kinetic Energy is not conserved.
Radian angle subtended at the centre of a circle by an
arc equal in length to the radius of a circle.
Linear Velocity Rate of change of displacement.
Angular Velocity Rate of change of angular
displacement.

Centripetal Acceleration rate of change of velocity of a
body following a circular path directed towards the
centre of the circle.
Centripetal force resultant force that must act towards
the centre of a circle to make a body follow a circular
path.
WHEN A BODY MOVES IN A CIRCULAR PATH
a) Velocity changes (as direction changes) direction of
velocity is along the tangent.
b) Direction of change in velocity, centripetal
acceleration and force acts towards the centre of the
circle.
c) Velocity is at right angle to the centripetal
acceleration and force.
d) Work done by the centripetal force is zero.
