    TheSummerSchoolisopen toPhDstudentsandyoung researcherswhohave completedtheirPhDdegree withinthelast4years. Prioritywillbegivento applicantsfromsocial scienceorientedprogramsor interdisciplinary(combined socialandnaturalscience) programs.Prioritywill moreoverbegiventoPhDs, butwewishtoincludeafew youngresearchersaswell. Weaimforatotalof25 participants.

    Aboutthecourse in2012
    Theparticipantswillexpand theirinsightsintothecore theoryandpracticeof environmentalgovernance. Themainfocuswillbeon theinstitutionalfoundation ofenvironmental governanceandhowissues atglobal,nationalandlocal scalesarelinked.Wewill moreoveremphasizespecific challengesrelatedtocreating sustainabledevelopment.
