Capital Punishment Celebrates Human Dignity

I believe there are times when nothing but the death penalty would do. I believe life is sacred so capital punishment is the best penalty for those who committed murder with aggravating circumstances. Many of those against capital punishment contend that this kind of penalty is immoral because the State doesnt have the attribution of deciding who lives and who dies. But, as very well said by Bruce Fein, a member of the American Bar, the death penalty honors human dignity by treating the offender as a free moral individual who has the choice of making good or bad decisions. And even more important, capital punishment actually celebrates the dignity of the humand whose lives were ended by the defendant. A great philosopher said it even better: a society that is not willing to demand a life of one who ended anothers is just immoral. If a human-being wants to be treated as a human-being, then they need to act like a human-being. By killing another individual, they should lose the right to be considered a human-being. Capital punishment should not be applied for any type of crime. Murders committed by fault or under psychological pressure can be punished with prison sentence. Premeditated murder, serial crimes, kills committed against people who cant defend themselves, these are the crimes who deserve the ultimate punishment. In conclusion, capital punishment is the only penalty suiting unconscionable crimes. Judges have to put in balance all factors when giving this type of punishment: circumstantial, psychological, intention.
