ACT I SCENE ONE (Scene set at a Networking Evening. Background conversation. A table, 2 chairs and wine) Jeremy: Dina: Jeremy: Dina: Jeremy: Dina: Jeremy: Dina: Jeremy: Geraline: Jeremy: Ive got to go at about 7pm. I dont want to but I have to. OK. Ive got your hat in my bag. Oh, thanks. I had a really good time, you know, this weekend. Yes it was good. Sounds like you go back there a lot. Yes, whenever anyones got a car..... Im leading the session tonight. Were you going to give out the notepaper? Yes, well, I would have. I will next time. But I have to leave at 7. Heres your hat. Oh, my rat hat. (Puts it on). Funny, its got colder again so suddenly. Yes, its funny my father used to say if you keep your head warm, your feet will stay warm. You know we were listening to Sargeant Pepper in the car? Did I say my father actually met Paul McCartney once in his work for the BBC. He said he was a very nice man. He was totally devasted by John Lennons death you know? Dina. Yes, you did tell me that. Yes, Im all yours, fire away.

Dina: No I mean over there. That guy David said he couldnt hear himself thinking as you guys were so noisy. Jeremy: I tell you why Ive got to go at seven. A guy at the university, Roger, who was much brighter than he came across, had a motorcycle accident on Lewisham roundabout on Thursday. Its really dangerous there. They should change it. So tragic. His memorial is at 9. I didnt know him that well but I said Id go. Yes? Dina: Jeremy: You mentioned him on Friday. When did you hear hed died? Oh, just today when I went in to work. He was a student in my class. He was a real ladies man. Dina: Jeremy: yeah, you were talking about him on Friday. Thats really sad. OK. Well as I said I have to go. Are you going to be alright leading your session? There arent many people here. Mine last month was absolutely packed. Dina: Jeremy: My friend Carol is just coming. Youre not going to meet her? Tell you what, Ill stay till half seven, hows that? I can help you set up the discussion. Dina: Its 6.30 now. Anyway I wanted to say....
