Chapter III METHODOLOGY

This research is quantitative research and has been conducted to check the effects of democratic leadership in comparison to gender on employee performance. 3.1.1: Independent variable: In this study democratic leadership style and gender are being the independent variables, democratic leadership has been operationally defined as participating employee in decision making where as gender has been operationally defined as male and female leaders. 3.1.2: Dependent variable Employee performance is being the dependent variable. Operationally for this study is defined as effective and efficient effort made by employee of any organization towards the achievement of organization goals/objectives. 3.1.3: Problem statement: The problem statement of the study is Effect of democratic leadership in comparison to gender on employee performance. 3.2: Data type Two types of data were required for this research. Primary data and secondary data 3.2.1: Secondary data: Secondary data were taken from internet 3.2.2: Primary data: Where as for primary data were obtained from a sample 50 respondents whose responses were recorded in a questionnaire.

3.2.3: Sampling: Convenient sampling technique was used for this study. 3.2.3: instrument used for data collection To collect primary data a self determined survey questionnaire was designed consisting of 15 questions covering the 3 aspects first that whether male or female used democratic leadership most second what the reason and third what is effect of this leadership style used by gender on employee performance. Scale used in this study was licked scale using four categories i.e. strongly agree, agree, strongly disagree and disagree. Questionnaire was originally designed in English. 3.3: Data Analysis Data collected through questionnaire and the internet is analyzed using SPSS to know the impact of democratic leadership in comparison of gender on employee performance. 3.4: Hypothesis: Ho: democratic leadership and gender difference affect the performance of employee H1: 3.4.1: Research question 3.5: Research design: 1: is there is gender differences in leadership styles that effect the employee performance differently? 2: how democratic leadership among gender leads to better employee performance 3.5.1: Type of study: The research will be descriptive in nature because there is some information available about the financial sources. 3.5.2:Type of investigation:

Type of investigation is corelational.because we are going to study the factors in actual environment. 3.5.3: Researcher interference: Researcher interference is minimal because his/her responsibility is to checkout the relationship between variables he cant controlled or changed them because there are various other factors are present and that are uncontrolled. 3.5.4: Cross sectional study: Study time is cross sectional study .my research is done in only one time 3.6: Limitation of the research We prepare research in a very short period of time and don not get enough time to do a thorough study. All the data was not accessible
