Lane detection project suggestion using computer vision techniques like edge detection, Hough transform, and particle filtering to track lane lines on a road even when obstructed from view. The particle filter would help estimate lane lines while a car blocks the view. Real-world applications are exciting as this would track multiple lane lines simultaneously, unlike prior particle filter projects. The students aim to achieve the highest grade of A.

The project suggestion would basically be easiest described with the word "lane detection". Our intention is to try to use knowledge from this other course we are taking (computer vision) and try to estimate the lane by using edge detection, hough transform and lastly and probably most importantly a particle lter. The thought is to try and keep track of the lines on a road with the aid of the particle lter. For instance, the particle lter would help us estimate the lines while an object (car) is obstructing the view. The real life applications for this seems exciting and in contrast to the prior particle lter we have done, this would involve keeping track of more than one thing at the same time. We aim at grade A.
