Step 3 On September 11, 2011 Americans were attacked by terrorists.

The terrorists, members of an Afghanistan organization named al-Qaeda, and its leader. Osama Bin Laden left President George W. Bush with a complicated decision of how to react. Bin Laden and his followers regard America as their main enemy because America leads the Western and democratic world, and supports the moderate Arab regimes. In their eyes America is controlling the holy places of Islam in Saudi-Arabia. President Bush had to first weigh the costs of a possible military intervention. Bush had the most technologically advanced force in the world. Justice will began to be realized when they put an end to al-Qaeda and the government of Taliban is replaced. The aftermath of the attacks support for the United States' right to defend itself was shown across the world, and by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1368. Many countries introduced anti-terrorism legislation and froze the bank accounts of businesses and individuals they suspected of having connections with al-Qaeda and its leader Osama bin Laden, the perpetrators of the attacks. 3,000 people were killed including 400 police officers and firefighters and a lot of money was spent for the war. Now in 2011 U.S. forces have killed and buried Osama Bin Laden in the sea. Solders are starting to come back home.
