Indian Political Science Association 54th All India Conference

Dear Sir/Madam, We have immense pleasure in informing you that the 54th All India Conference of the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA) will be held on 28-30 December, 2011 at Lucknow University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). All the members of the IPSA are hereby cordially invited to attend the conference. The main theme of the conference shall be Emerging Nature of Indian Politics. shall not be included in the Conference Volume and the organizers may find it difficult to provide accommodation to those who do not register themselves upto 20th November 2011. Those coming with spouses and children must essentially send additional registration fees and intimate the Organizing Secretary well in time. You are requested to positively pre-register yourself by the given deadline to avoid inconvenience. Lucknow University: - (www.lkouniv.ac.in) The University of Lucknow was established in 1921. Today the University functions through the faculties of Arts, Ayurveda, Education, Commerce, Fine Arts, and Science. It is one of the biggest residential state universities in the country with over 30000 students on its role in

the main campus and an overall strength of about one lakh students combining all its associated colleges. Department of Public Administration: - (www.dpalu.in) The Department of Public Administration, created in University of Lucknow in 1963, with responsibility for teaching and research in Public Administration, and having a long tradition of providing training, both induction and in-service, is a pioneering institution in northern India, undertaking evaluation of various government programmes and providing consultancy. It has well-established international linkages with exchange of scholars for higher training and research besides organizing seminars, workshops and symposia, attended by academicians and experts from all over the country and undertaking a number of research studies, sponsored by various national and international agencies. The Department has an auditorium, a conference hall, meeting rooms, class rooms, a Computer Laboratory with audio-visual aids and a Library with more than 25,000 volumes on Public Administration and related disciplines and subscribing to a number of journals and periodicals. Hospitality: All the participants will be provided free hospitality inclusive of tea/coffee, breakfast, working lunch and dinner for the three conference days. Accommodation: Participants will be provided suitable accommodation free of cost. Those who want to stay in star hotels may write to the Organizing Secretary for tariff, distance etc. The detailed programme of the conference shall be available on www.ijps.net very soon.
