Rajat Sud is a Principal in Korn/Ferry Internationals Bangalore office. He is a key member of the Firms Global Industrial Market, leading the Energy Sector in India. Mr. Sud has wide-ranging experience over twenty years in the industrial sector and as a trusted advisor to governments and corporations. He has extensive experience in acquiring businesses, ramping up professional services practices, managing businesses and delivering large projects, and has several notable accomplishments, including the reformation of the Indian power sector, where he played a lead role in the unbundling of large state-owned utilities. He has also advised Asian utilities on performance benchmarking and improvement. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Sud was head of the energy business for Siemens IT Solutions. At Siemens, he had P&L responsibility and led the ramp-up of the business, including established a portfolio of smart energy solutions.

Earlier, as associate director with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Mr. Sud advised government sector clients on reforms and restructuring. He led the foray of PwC in advising foreign and private sector clients for public-private partnerships and strategy engagements. Earlier, as business development manager with National Power, Mr. Sud built a portfolio of power development projects which he led to financial closure. During this time, he acquired the leading energy company of Czech Republic. Mr. Sud started his career with NTPC where he gained expertise in power plant commissioning and operations. Mr. Sud holds a post-graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), and a bachelors degree of engineering in electronics and telecommunications engineering from SGS Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore in India.
