Stock maintenance system

Abstract It is difficult to maintain the stock details manually, it has following disadvantage. 1. Lack of accuracy. 2. Time consumption is more. 3. Reliability is less 4. Difficulty in maintaining bulky records. 5. Less efficient

Thus to overcome these demerits and to maintain an accurate record of all the stock related details, the software for the stock management system has been developed. It has the following advantages.

Objective: To develop a Stock Management system for maintaining the stocks of various items. Existing System: In the existing system lot of paper work is required for maintaining the stocks. This also consumes lot of time.

Proposed System: Our software is aimed at being highly user friendly interactive with the forms and message boxes. In this system the user can easily maintain the stock details of various items. The proposed system is time consuming. Project Planning: Software project management begins with a set of activities that are collectively called project planning. The objective of software project planning is to provide a framework to make a reasonable estimate of resources. These estimates are made within a limited time frame at the beginning of the software project and should be updated regularly as the project progresses.

This first activity in software project planning is the determination of software scope. Software scope describes the data and control to be processed, function, performance ,constraints, interfaces and reliability.

2. The second software planning task is the estimation of the resources required to accomplish the software development effort. It involves the development environment, reusable software components and people.

3. Development environment: It sites at the foundation of the resources and provides the infrastructure to support the development effort. In the stock management system, the development environment involves the operation system like windows, Windows XP.

4. Reusable software components: It reduces the development cost and accerlate delivery. It emphasizes the reusability catalogued for easy reference, standardized for easy application and validated for any integration.

5. People: it involves the developers and users.
