Peruse the case Look at the case by reading the intro and conclusion, skim the rest so you know what you are getting into Quickly read the case Read the entire case rapidly, no highlights or underlining. You will know how the case is organized and where the main information is Make a brief outline Who is involved in the case? What problems do they face? What is their situation like?

Set preliminary goals What do the case questions ask? What do I need to know to answer them? What issues in the course does the case involve?

Reread the case - Focus on the important information you found during the skimming. Reformulate the problem - What is the case really about? What are the central issues? What conflicts between ideas, perspectives or values are involved in decisions actions? - Whose interest are really at stake? - What are the alternatives Work the problem - Answer the questions in the case using the relevant information - Make thoughtful assumptions if needed. Write your answers - Answer only questions that were assigned - Write coherent, well written answers Other recommendations - Consider a study group - Use discussion board in BB or create a Facebook page - Seek and provide help from other students and me
