Christmas in Mexico

Mexican people celebrate Christmas night on December 24th and 25th. They decorate their houses with color lights; they set Nativity Scene and Christmas tree too. They celebrate 9 parties before Christmas, these are called Posadas , and there the children break the piata . The piata is a pot and is decorate with color paper; the piata has a star shape. In the party, they sing, dance and receive a little bag full of Chocolates , cookies, nuts and peanuts; this present is called Aguinaldo . At Christmas dinner, they eat turkey, salad, codfish, romeritos and buuelos (Mexican food). Christmas dinner is happy, all the family is gathered and change gifts too. The three wise men bring gifts to the kids on January 6th; the children put a shoe under the bed.
