Abstract

Conductivity is the basic property which distinguishes between metals, insulators and semiconductors. Conductivity (or resistivity) measurements are thus very important for studying materials and their electronic nature. Hall Effect is one of the most widely used experimental tools in this context. In this advanced lab experiment we studied the temperature dependence of resistivity of an extrinsic doped Silicon sample and also study it using Hall Effect. The results allow us to predict the nature of doping in the sample, and their concentration. Alok Mukherjee
