The content of the letter


How we as a community can help save Springfield. Problems: people are polluting the lake, global warming, can t go swimming, can t drink the water, nature is being affected by pollution, people don t care about their town, people are lazy, sink-holes in the town, town will be destroyed, litter, get quarantined, irresponsible police and the fact that people are uninformed.

Next steps
Identify the 4/5 most important points you have listed to include in your letter. For each problem you need to: Find reasons to support how/why it is a problem. Explain the impact it is having on the town What will happen if it continues to be a problem. How we can stop it being a problem.

Use of paragraphs and sentence structures to organise your ideas. Use of persuasive techniques ( at least 2 in each paragraph) Varied and appropriate vocabulary: standard English, formal and descriptive. Spelling AF8
