S/D COOLING PERFORMANCE TEST: OBJECTIVE: to ensure that core flow is established during various modes of S/D p ump

operation viz. (1-0 south), (0-1 north) and 1-1 modes. HOW THE TEST WAS DONE: one pump was operated and the other side was kept on ridi ng. Later the other side was also operated and kept on riding from storage tank. All datas regarding header pressure, channel flows. Later, other side pump was operated and the first side was kept on riding and same paramters were noted. IMPORTANT PARAMETERS: PHT pressure: 2.5 kg/sq.cm, storage tank level: above 160 cm. PCP DIFFERENT MODES OF OPERATION: OBJECTIVE: to check the flows across channels and header pressures during 1-0, 1 -1, 2-1, 2-2 modes of PCP operation. HOW THE TEST WAS DONE: FM supply pump was started and PHT is pressurised to 10 k g/sq.cm. PPP was then started and system was pressurised to 40 kg/sq.cm. later P CPs were started 1 by 1 and each time a PCP was started diiferent readings of ch annel flows and header pressures were taken. IMPORTANT PARAMETERS: PCP coasting down time: 133/142/ 127/ 126 seconds. IRV FUNCTIONAL TESTS: OBJECTIVE: to check the opening time of IRVs in COLD PRESSURISED/ DEPRESSURISED condition and ensuring leak tightness of the boundary valves, vibrations in BCD during openin of IRVs, estimate and establish air accumulators capacity.
