Grandma Volners Cream Cheese Apple Pie 2 table spoon flour teaspoon salt Cup + 1 tablespoon sugar 1 Egg

poon sugar 1 Egg 1 teaspoon vanilla teaspoon nutmeg 1 8 oz. Package cream cheese softened 2 Cup pealed and chopped apples. 1 deep dish pie crust Topping Cup stick butter or margarine. 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 Cup sugar 1/3 Cup flour Cup nuts of choice (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts etc.)

Sift flour, salt and sugar together. Add egg, cream cheese, vanilla and nutmeg. Beat until well blended. Add apples. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 30 or 40 minutes. 15 minutes before the pie is done remove from the oven.

Topping Sift together the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over top of pie. Sprinkle nuts over top. Return the pie to the oven and bake until bubbly. ** I sometimes add 1/3 cup quick oats with the sugar and flour in the topping.
