BACKGROUND OF THE CASE


* CBS news ran a 48 hour program in US. * The news was related to inhumane treatment & exploitation of workers at Nikes shoe mfg. plant in Vietnam. * A group called Vietnam Labor Watch (VLW) was set up to study the entire case.

ISSUES INVOLVED IN THE CASE


* Did not pay minimum wages, proper working condition . * Difference between labor practices at Nike. * Did not followed the code of conduct. * we dont own these plants so they arent our problem. * Workers were exploited at Nike factories in Vietnam. * Ignored several health's and safety standards
