GPCC Proposal for a Youth Advisory Sub-Committee Purpose of the committee will be to bring the concerns and needs

of youth to the planning process with the City of Fresno. The Citizens Committee is the most appropriate doorway for this kind of involvement of youth who are interested in assisting in the general plan process. Just as the GPCC is in place to advise the City of the needs and desires of citizens with regard to built environment and the future of the city, this sub- committee allows for youth voice to similarly inform and advise the City of the needs and desires of youth. This is an opportunity for the City of Fresno, whose intent with the GPCC has been to expand inclusion of community members in the planning process, to widen that intent further with the inclusion of youth on this subcommittee.
