COMMUNITY ADVISORY PANEL (CAP) Updated 1/13/2012 The Community Advisory Panel (CAP) consists of a panel of community representatives

established to strengthen communication between the City of Fresno and the public it directly serves and to improve community involvement with the City of Fresno. The Key Objectives for this Panel will be to: - Provide for direct and sustained communications between the Office of the Mayor and citizens from across the community; - Provide the Mayor with structured feedback on community perceptions regarding policies, programs and civic initiatives; - Enhance citizen participation in civic affairs within Fresno through the development of such programs as the Fresno Citizens Academy and regular town hall meetings. Membership Qualifications: Meets: Term: A member should represent a segment of the community. 1st Friday of each month at 3:00 p.m., Fresno City Hall Room 4017. Members serve one-year terms, with of the initial terms serving an additional six months in order to stagger terms. In the event the members term expires, the member may continue his/her term of office, with the Mayors approval, until such time as the member resigns, or is replaced by the Mayor. There are no more than 40 members appointed by the Mayor.
