1. One morning, one of the guys came with a flyer from the mainland.

It was for a one day tournament. 2. The rest of the village we really proud of us. 3. One day one of the boys had an idea. He suggested we form a team of our own. 4. It was shaky, uneven and had nails sticking out everywhere. 5. We got rid of our wet boots. 6. When we got to the tournament we were all nervous. 7. We had ourselves a football team, but we didn t have a pitch. 8. We didn t realise the rest of the village had been watching us practise, and had pitched in to buy us some new gear. 9. A last minute goal gave the other team the win 10. On our island we loved to watch football. But no one had actually ever played it. 11. We started by collecting some old wood from around the village. 12. It was raining heavily and the other team were really good.
