Application of GSM for Pollution Monitoring Caused by Automobile Exhaust Gases ABSTRACT In this project we are using 8051

microcontroller for checking the exhaust gases from the automobiles. A preset value is set for checking the intensity of the smoke exhausted from the automobile, if it exceeds the preset value a SMS will be sent to the RTO about the vehicle details. And also the vehicle will be locked down if a SMS is sent to the Modem present in the vehicle such that vehicle will be unlocked only if a fine is paid. GSM modem is used to communicate and respond to the remote commands and those commands are sent to the processor.
