Liquid Church of NJ Congregation To Sing Contemporary Pop Hits By Adele, Bruno Mars, Cee-Lo and Foo Fighters Instead of Hymns
CEE-LO AT THE SUPER BOWL, ADELE ON 60 MINUTES AND BRUNO MARS IN CHURCH?
MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- FEBRUARY 10, 2012 Liquid Church, one of New Jerseys fastest growing churches, is announcing that the congregation will sing chart-topping pop music during February and March at its Sunday morning church services. The church is setting out to teach that the same scars of love contemporary artists are struggling with in their lyrics today echoes a story line from the Bible, set thousands of years ago in 8th century B.C. The message series entitled, Pop God, will illustrate how an Old Testament prophet, cheating wife and God experience similar issues the pop music artists are tormenting about in their lyrics, but with a very different conclusion. Cee-Lo, Adele, Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters story lines express the same burdens many people walking into the church are facing. We could learn a lot from the love story Gods telling that is quite relevant today said Tim Lucas of Liquid Church. The four-week message series will walk-through several modern day pop song compositions making connections to the love story told in the Bibles Old Testament. The following list of artists and songs will be addressed in sermon messages to be delivered at Liquid Churchs New Jersey campuses in Morristown, New Brusnwick and Nutley:

Adele - Rolling In The Deep Cee-Lo - Forget You

Foo Fighters - Walk Again Bruno Mars - Grenade

Lucas added, The best part about telling this version of the love story is that people can know God has a heart which always offers grace & reconciliation. Our lives might be filled with betrayal and despair but with Him, it definitely ends with hope. About Liquid Church Liquid Church is one of NJs fastest-growing Christian churches.
