What is Art?

Work in groups of two or three and analyze the image given to you. Consider the following questions below during your analysis: y y y y y y y y y What type of art is it? (Examples: photo, painting, drawing etc.) What time period does the image belong to? (Examples: 19th century, modern, Impressionism, etc.) What is happening in the image? What tone does the image have? (Examples: happy, frightening, dark, ironic, funny, romantic, etc.) What does the image remind you of? How can the image be improved? Can you relate the image to another piece of art? Would you hang this image in your home? Why or why not? What make images pieces of art? Why or why not?
