1. How many hours do you usually offer to a new stylist?

Around 20, depending on how many clients they can get in, and then possibly more. 2. How many hours do you consider full time? 40 hours. 3. How many chairs or rooms does your salon have? 5. 4. Does your salon/spa allow a technician to service in multiple departments? Not usually, we like to have estheticians and stylists separate so that the booking doesnt get confusing. 5.Does your salon offer advanced education? Yes. a. How often? We travel to one class a year, and hold one every quarter at the salon. b. What type of classes are offered? Cutting, coloring, styling, waxing etc. c. How long are the classes? Between 5-8 hours for the day classes and 3-4 days when we travel. 6. Do you have an apprenticeship program? No. 7. What is the infrastructure of your salon? 5 stylists, 3 estheticians, 2 receptionists, a bookkeeper, and a manager. 8. Does your company offer benefits? Health & Dental. 9. What is the standard pay for a new stylist, and what type of raises could one expect after a couple years? New stylists start at minimum wage and have the ability to get raises twice a year after their evaluation. 11. Do you offer retail commission? Yes. 12. Do you charge a backbar fee? No. 13. On average, how many guests do you see a day? 10-15 16. How long have you been in business? 10 years. 17. What was your biggest misconception of the cosmetology industry? That you instantly make money as soon as you start work!
