Fox English Literature 8 February 2012 First Use of Ring Dare me Virtus and tempus refert non iacet I had to find those thugs, or else I would never be able to forgive myself. I want to know who did this, and why. As I desperately searched for clues, and as I realize my efforts were useless, I was utterly, completely useless, I was not strong, nor was I brave, I just need some help. I was desperate for answers, when the questions were known as impossible, and all I could do was stare at my grandfathers ring for a sign, and magically I start seeing lines across the ring, fluorescent green as if it were glowing from the inside. I realize they are not just any lines, they were words, and I knew I was not able to read them, they were complete gibberish, but somehow, my subconscious was able to overpass my knowledge and I read out these words, tempus refert non iacet. Nothing changed, my mind kept racing, but there was a sudden almost dreadful chill going throughout the room I was in. I could see the furniture, the lighting, and the trees, but it all seemed dead. I dont know what I did, well at least it seemed as if I did nothing I didnt know of, but as I didnt see any change in my area, I tried to walk, but my feet were still, I could not move, I was paralyzed. Was this some kind of trick my mind is playing on me, some kind of illusion I would not be aware of, then after 20 seconds, I felt life back into me. I walked outside, as if the nothing had changed.
