are insta lled on the gas train before the burner. It has a spring-loaded valve disc which closes when de-energized. These Valves come in two types. 1. Fast Opening: These are VGN series valves, which once energized open within 0 .5 seconds. 2. Slow Opening: These are VGL series valves, which once energized open within 1 0 seconds. The closing time for both the valves is less than 1 second. The two solenoid valves are located in series on the gas train for safety purpos es.
