Have you ever been late for school? Are you always ready on time?

Come and hear a story about the importance of being preparedespecially when it comes to your relationship with Jesus!

Jesus told this story: Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five of them were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in their jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom took a long time to arrive and the bridesmaids all fell asleep. When they all found out the bridegroom was coming, the foolish ones asked the wise for some oil for their lamps. The wise ones told them to go buy some for themselves instead. But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The ones who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the other came and asked for the door to open to them. The bridegroom said, I tell you the truth. I do not know you. Keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. Matthew 25:1-13

Gather those pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars and bring them for the KiDS COR offering. Your giving will help Daniel and Alexandra, our sponsored children through Compassion International, have food, clothing and shelter. They will also learn about the love of Jesus!

Pray this prayer: Jesus, I love you. Help me to always put you first in my life. Amen. Who came to the Great Banquet?

Set an extra place at your table as a reminder that there are more people who need to hear about Jesus and His love for them! As a family, talk about ways to share the love of Jesus with others.

Take turns describing the most amazing party you can imagine. Describe the food, music, activities, space, etc. What could possibly keep you from this party? How is this like what happened in the story Jesus told? Could anything ever keep you from a party Jesus invited you to attend?

Practice your memory verse! You can find it in Psalm 19:14 or right here in your GPS!
