4. As a nurse manager, what do you think is true most difficult employee to handle?

Explain and integrate the principles of organizational culture. The most difficult employee to handle is those different to the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the organization. Having opposite ideas, values and beliefs will always create conflict if not recognized and handled properly by nurse managers. It is a challenge to a nurse manager to identify those opposing ideas and discuss it with the concerned employee. The nurse manager must gain or must convince the employee to embrace the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the organization. Once the employee owns the objectives and goals of the organization, everything will flow smoothly. It is also the task of the nurse manager to identify the positives and negatives regarding why a change is to be made as well as the strengths and

goals of the key players. In order to avoid conflict with this opposing employee, the nurse manager after convincing the employee, must build up a strong team, establish strong partnership and promote the general welfare of his employees to have a harmonious organizational climate.
