Our way to Space

Introduction
There are nine planets in our solar system.
The Sun

The sun is very hot. The sun is the biggest star in


space. Every thing in our solar system orbit’s the
sun.
The Moon
The moon orbits Earth. Moon's diameter is 3,474 km a
little more than a quarter that of the Earth.
Mercury

The planet Mercury was named by the Romans


after Mercury, the god of commerce, travel and
thievery because it moves so fast through the
sky.
Mars

• Mars looks like it is a very hot planet but it isn't it is


a cold planet. Mars was the Roman God of War
and the planet was probably named this
because of its red colour. Mars was the Roman
God of War and the planet was probably

Earth

Earth has one moon. When half of Earth is day the


other half is night. Earth is the third planet from the
sun.
Jupiter

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. Jupiter


has four large moon and 10 small moons.
Saturn

Saturn is the second largest planet. Saturn was the


god of agriculture in Roman mythology.
Uranus

Miranda is the closest large moon to Uranus. Uranus


is the 7th planet from the sun and is the 3rd biggest
planet.
Neptune

Neptune has 11 small moons and 1 big moon.


Neptune is a deep blue-green in color and was
named for this after the Roman god of the
sea.Neptune has one ring around it.
Pluto
Because Pluto is the furthest planet from the sun, it is very dark
and this was the reason it was given its name, after the Roman
god of the underworld. Because Pluto is the furthest planet from

Milky way
The milky way contains about 200 billion stars.the
Milky way is the galaxy witch is the home of our
solar system.
Comets

Comets are dirty balls of ice that fly in space.


A comets tail can be thousands of kilometers
Long.
Stars
When earth moves into the dust you can see many shooting
stars. Stars are glowing balls of gas.
Conclusion

Space has a lot of planets. All of the planets in space


are different.
