    FARMLAND PRESERVATION HB371 (Pogge) allows James City County to have agricultural and forestal districts.

    It has now passed the House of Delegates. Farm Bureau is supporting. HB732 (Dudenhefer) provides that a transfer of development rights ordinance may permit a sending property, subsequent to severance of development rights, to be used for certain types of parks and campgrounds. It has passed the House and now moves to the Senate. Farm Bureau had no position on the legislation. The intent of the bill is to make more land available for the TDR program in localities.
