ROBER ZAJONCS DRIVE THEORY DUAL NATURE

Person of meager performance v/s Person coming from great academic or professional background.

NICKOLAS B. COTTRELLS EVALUATION APPREHENSION THEORY

Application When you want someone to feel good, give them an audience for an easy task. If you want to destabilize them, give them an audience for a difficult task. This will give you an opportunity to rescue them, building trust. When an audience suddenly appears when you are uncertain about an important task, ask them to go away. Refuse to continue until they do and you have subsequently calmed down. When the relation with superior is friendly then this theory does not hold true.

SELF PRESENTATION THEORY (GOFFMAN, 1959)

Take

credit for the work or task that an employee has achieved.

DISTRACTIONCONFLICT
THEORY
When

an employee is working on high-skill-required software, distraction will divide attention and the desired output will degrade.

SOCIAL LOAFING
When group task is assigned to employees, then social loafing occurs. Application: Define particular roles to employees or form team of employees with complementary abilities. For example, the team should include monitor evaluator, specialist, shaper, implementer, finisher, co-ordinator, team worker, resource investigator.
