The main objectives for this module are: Lesson 1- Introduction to Africa o To locate Africa and describe some differences that exist between countries. Lesson 2- Physical Features of Africa o To be able to locate and identify countries and physical features in Africa. Lesson 3- Africa- Human and Physical Features o To know how the physical features of Africa impact the people that live there. Lesson 4- Development and Africa o To be able to describe what development is. Lesson 5- Introduction to Kenya o To know where Kenya is and its physical and human features. Lesson 6- Lets Travel to Kenya! o To describe how tourism operates in Kenya and what are the advantages and disadvantages. Lesson 7- Kenyan City Life o To know what urban life is like in Kenya Lesson 8- Kenya Versus the United Kingdom o To be able to compare how different Kenya is from the United Kingdom? Lesson 9- What is Sudan Like? o To know where Sudan is and its physical and human features Lesson 10- The Conflict in Sudan o To know what has been happening to cause conflict in Sudan and understand how this conflict has impacted the people of Sudan. Lesson 11- Sustainability in Sudan o To determine if Sudan has a sustainable future. Lesson 12. Assessment

Module 4 :- Homework
During this module you will be expected to complete the following homework. Your teacher may set you revision or assessment homework as extra to these. Week 1. Fact File Collect 20 facts on the physical and human geography of Africa. Use the library or the Internet to help you. Write the information you find in your own words. Week 2. Spelling and Keywords. Find out what the following keywords mean and learn the spellings. Development, physical, human, sustainable, ecotourism, urban, rural, birth rate, nomadic, shanty town. Week 3. Kenya Tourism Create a poster or pamphlet designed to encourage people to travel to Kenya. Include popular destinations, sights to see, pictures, and explanations of why people should travel to Kenya. Week 5. Sudan Collage Design a collage for display that shows images of Sudan. Extension Create a chart to compare how rich Kenya and Sudan are. Use development indicators such as Birth Rate, Death Rate, Infant Mortality and People per Doctor. You can find these in an Atlas or on the Internet.
