As an adolescent when the Nazis invade his country of Poland, Jack grows into a young adult while determined to survive the atrocities of his imprisonments. During this time, Jack manages to create friendships and help others. After the end of the War and the Holocaust, Jack discovers that most of his family did not survive. However, Jack decides to build a new life for himself in the United States, where starts a family and becomes economically successful.
