SALES OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION To work, under the direction of the Manager, International Events & Corporate Communications

or another officer designated by the CEO To work with all CTO Management staff and events/conference production staff to identify all opportunities for selling specific CTO products and services To create a marketing/sales plan for CTO events, products and services To carry out own research to identify prospective and potential delegates and sponsors/exhibitors To create databases of possible event delegates as well as potential sponsors To validate and update such databases in consultation with the relevant CTO Managers. To sell sponsorships, advertising space, exhibition space, and delegates places at CTO training events, workshops and conferences To work with other colleagues to sell CTO membership and other commercial opportunities of the CTO, as and when they become available from time to time. To maintain and keep colleagues aware of such information as may be relevant/required to the management of commercial opportunities for CTO To assist in the development and writing of such short announcements, production of flyers and other literature that will assist in effective promotion and sales. To build relationships with delegates at conferences with the objective of creating opportunities for collaboration between the CTO and other entities. To assist the relevant Manager and other staff in arrangements for conferences and other commercial events/meetings, including manning CTO display and exhibits at conferences and event sites. To undertake such other duties as directed by the CEO or the relevant Manager.

Qualifications and Experience as follows: Minimum of Bachelors degree in subjects relating to Commerce or Marketing Minimum of 2 years experience in sales, with strong drive for outbound telesales (including cold call sales) Commercially driven person with a track record of meeting high sales targets

Strong affinity for the Telecommunications and ICT sector Good oral and written communications skills Comfortable talking to senior officials from both the public and private sectors A good team player with respect for multi-cultural diversity

Salary according to experience - 17,500 - 22,000 per annum plus performance-based commissions
