    Small Scale Industries: The Vibrant Growth Segment

    Abstract
    The SSI sector has been contributing immensely to the Indian economy, in terms of employment, production and exports. Small enterprises are playing a critical role in industrialization of rural and backward areas, reduction of regional imbalances and ensuring a more equitable distribution of national income and wealth. A recent world Banks report states There is now wide spread recognition within India that Vibrant Small and medium Enterprises are potentially a key engine of economic growth, job creation and greater economic prosperity. The SSI sector registered an 8.12 % Growth Rate in the year 2010-11. The topic is fully concentrated upon the future prospects of Small Scale Industry and its contribution towards the growth of the Indian Economy.
