0: “Leading the Line”

MISSION DESCRIPTION:
Your team of highly skilled leaders has been specially selected to under go intensive
training in the art of leading the line aka “line dancing”.
For this short and intensive team mission, your team will need:
i. to demonstrate excellent coordination ability amongst team members
ii. to explore your creative design and building skills to create an appropriate dance
or team theme
iii. to exhibit resourcefulness in your negotiation and bartering skills with other
competing teams

PREPARATION TIME:
• 2.5 HOURS = Basic Training (60 min) + Team Practice Time (90 min)

TEAM ACTIVITIES:
a) Each team will be given a 2 to 3 min opportunity to demonstrate their newly
acquired “leading the line” skills to a panel of judges at the group dinner session
b) Please choose a suitable dance or team theme!
c) Each team will be provided with a unique dance song to practice & can be fully
creative with their team performance.
d) 2 Dance guides will be available on a rotation basis to teams for guidance purposes
e) The main mission objective is for the team to “CREATE THE BIGGEST IMPACT” by
demonstrating superior coordinated dancing ability that is matched with creative use
of the dance music, props and costumes.
The success of your team mission and overall team score will be determined by the
following key criteria:
1. Overall Coordination of Team Dancers (max 50pts)
2. Bonus Teamwork Points will be awarded progressively if greater than
the minimum nos. (>50%) of team members take part in the dance
performance – up to max 30 points for 90% to 100% participation rate)
3. Matching the Dance or Team Theme with props and decorations
(max 30pts)
4. Creative Elements e.g. varying the basic dance routine & Extras!
(max 20pts)
TEAM MATERIALS:
- Teams will be given basic & special dance props + a unique team music CD
- Teams are allowed to exchange or barter with other teams for additional items
that they may require for their team performance
- Teams are free to practice their dance routine at any suitable location in OCC
