This past Monday night, there was a shooting at a Pool and Play off of Tryon Street in Charlotte. Two women had gotten into an argument and the altercation went outside. Shots were fired, as people ran outside to see what happened one woman was lying down on the ground with blood everywhere on the ground. The Pool and Play has been known for trouble-some altercations in the past. The bar has a history of gang related activity. The two women were inside the bar when a verbal argument began between the two of them. Then after it started to become a physical problem, the manager of the bar threw both of them out of the bar. The patrons inside said that the altercation continued in the parking lot. Shots were fired and then people ran outside to see what had happened. The victim was said to be in her thirties and wearing a suit and carrying a leather briefcase. The woman who was said to be white with blonde hair about 57 fled the scene immediately after the shots were fired. The shooter was said to have looked like she was in her forties. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Medical Examiner had released information that the woman had been shot directly in the right temple, most likely at point blank range. The weapon used was a . 38 caliber pistol. The woman was directly rushed to the Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Police do not know what started the argument, and when asked them what they thought it was they said it was a possible drug-related argument. The medical examiner had said that she was the daughter of Bank of America Vice President Neal Barlow.
