System is a component or set of components bounded together in a certain boundaries working to achieve a certain goal/ purpose.

EXAMPLE OF A SYSTEM:
The system which I would like to explain is a company named Rimmel. It is one of the world s oldest cosmetics brands. The following are the basic components of this system.

Components:

Interrelationships between components:

As I have shown above in the diagram how the components are inter related with each other, like the factory is related to the warehouse where the finished goods as well as the unfinished good are stored. The transportation department is also liked with the factory and the ware house as well as the raw materials as transportation is required to move the goods from one place to another. Likewise the inter relation has been shown between the different departments.

Boundary:
The boundary or the premises has been shown by the blue outline.

Environment:
The environment involves the customers, the different shops which sells the product, the stock market which affects the company. There are many factors present in the environment.

Purpose:
The purpose of Rimmel is to make beauty products.

Input and Output:

The people (workers and the owners) are the input and the output. The finished products as well as the raw materials are the input and the output.

System Stack holder:

Stack holders are the humans involved in the company. These include the customers, the workers, directors etc.

Limits:
The limits will be that the company only produces the beauty products and does not make anyother products like washing powder etc
