Group 4 (Feelings Chart) The students pretend to be the main character.

They write what they feel each event/dialogue in the story. What The Character Feel Event/ dialogue 1: Her son cut out her heart to bring it to the woman he loved. Event/ dialogue 2: "Are you in pain, my child?" Event/ dialogue 3: Her son was beguiled by the woman he loved so that he would promise to do anything she wants. 1. Having blinded by love, does he really want to do that? Cutting his mothers heart? 2. Does he not feel that it is not right to promise to do anything the girl asked? 3. If you were the boy, will you do the same thing? 4. If you were the boy, are you willing to do anything for the woman? 5. If you are the mother, is it right to not be angry with your child? Pre reading 1. Teaching Vocabulary Words/ Concepts Game : Identifying the theme game Mechanics: 1. The students will be grouped according to their rows. 2. They will be given handouts containing sentences and meanings of the words that

they will guess. 3. Reading the sentences has limited time, they are only allowed to comprehend for 1 minute. 4. Each group will be given letters. Some letters are different in color because it will be used to discover the theme of the story. They will try to arrange the letters to form the word that the sentence is looking for. Time limit is 10 seconds. 5. First group to arrange the letters correctly on the board will have a prize.

6. Each group will keep the different colored letter to be used in knowing the theme. 7. After all vocabulary words have been placed, The students will be given time to arrange the colored letters, first to get the words on the board will have a prize.
