Relation
I think that my picture and poem relate to the quote because they both show sorrow
and make you sad and make you remember the old times when you were four and you start
having a rush of nausea. They also give you the idea about the issue of Finny and Gene
splitting up, but they dont want it to happen. I feel like my poem represented the quote
better because it creates a scene that gives you a cold feeling that something happens. In my
picture I think of it as a timeline of life and the flower is the biggest part of it. The flower has
two parts and I tried to make this the emphasis of the painting. I feel like the flower
represents a person, probably a girlfriend or a best friend, who is good one day and then the
next day it feels like they have betrayed you and then it becomes dead to you. Overall I think
this quote makes an interesting topic and is a quote that is meant for deep thought.
