MAJOR SCALE ..Just as a reminder here's the C major scale to refer back to. It has a semitone between the 3rd to 4th and 7th to 8th degrees

DORIAN MODE

white notes from D to D starts on the 2nd degree of the major scale like a major scale with a flat 3rd and flat 7th note most widely used white notes from E to E starts on the 3rd degree of the major scale like a major scale with a flat 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th sad sound heard in lots of Spanish, Hebrew and Gypsy music. white notes from F to F starts on 4th degree of the major scale like a major scale with a sharp 4th note
