Genomic Medicine for
Warfarin (Coumadin) Dosing
In 2005, the FDA recommended genomic testing for
polymorphisms in the CYP2C9 and VKORC1 genes in patients
requiring warfarin therapy due to genetic changes that affect
warfarin metabolism. Helix Health, PLLC is a specialty medical
practice of genomics, and we consult on patients considering
warfarin to manage blood clotting.
