TITLE : SIMPLE PENDULUM Inferens :___________________________________________________________ ______________ Hipotesis :__________________________________________________________ _____________ Aim : To investigate the relationship between the

length and the period of a simple pendulum. Variable : [i] Manipulated : [ii] Responding : [iii] Constant : Apparatus : Retort stand with clamps, stopwatch, proctator, brass bob, metre ruler, 100cm thread and 2 pieces of split cork.

Procedures : [a] The apparatus was set-up as shown in figure above [b] The length of the thread, l = 20cm was measured with metre ruler from the point it clamped to the centre of the bob. [c] The pendulum oscillated at a small angle of the amplitude 10 [d] The time, t for 10 completed oscillations was taken twice using stopwatch and recorded into a table [e] Step [a] to [d] were repeated for l = 30.0 cm, 40.0 cm, 50.0 cm, 60.0 cm and 70.0 cm [f] The data, l, t, T, T2 were calculated and recorded into the table provided [g] The graph of T2 against I was plotted. Result: Graph: Conclusion:
