Several elements of the lower packing assembly are either sloked or split in order thatthe cable head with rope sacked can remain intact In the course af the wireline intervention it may be necessary to add lubricator sections with the Upper Assembly installed to overcome a wireline problem e.g. bird cage or a well “kick”. A {wo step procedure wil allow the bird cage to be removed fram the well and the wireline tool to be raised above the driling BOP in order that it may be closed.
