BUSINESS SITUATION
The company has planned to setup a Windows cluster system for their important application. The SQL cluster will involve on buying two new server and a storage as a quorum for the cluster system. In addition, the company plan to consolidate 3 existing server storage system. Existing server storage capacity was always an issue. Because of businessand servergrowth. The company wanted to shrink its footprint of storage and save money by not adding new storage just for consolidation but also for the cluster system.

SOLUTION
The company IT team is looking for an high performance 6GB SAS storage to setup a small (2node cluster) for its testing application. The IT team has been tracking down Dell PowerVault MD3200 as their main storage for the current project. They need to purchase 2 new servers with this storage as their cluster hardware. Also it has 3 existing server that required more capacity. The IT team has requested Dell consultant to make a proposal to designed 2 node cluster and consolidate existing server data into Dell PowerVault MD3200 without buying extra storage system for consolidation. Dell has proposed R710 rack server as their cluster server and Dell PowerVault MD3200. The cluster server will connect to Dell PowerVault MD3200, after occupied 4 SAS port for cluster there are still 4 extra SAS port, it will be used to connect to existing 3 server for data access. The storage meets customer expectation by fully maximizing their investment. The companies not only setup a brand new 2 node cluster but also consolidate existing server infrastructure.
